In Japanese mythology and folklore, they tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who took the form of a white wolf. The videogame "Okami" features this story, and Melissa re-created it's lovely style on paper. Signed by Melissa Wolfe herself. Completely handmade and painted in Acrylic paint with a watercolor background.
